The kindest acts that you've never heard
Are the ones performed without a word.
Never found in organized suffrage,
Rarely seen in media coverage.

A subtle wink suggesting support;
Unspoken words when tempers are short;
Cloaked in the task of day to day living
Kind-hearted people are silently giving.

Non-deductible contributions
Given to struggling institutions.
No strings attached, no credit wanted.
They continue working, undaunted.

Tending the sick to a painful end,
Because that's what you do for a friend.
An act of kindness, silent and true,
So few will know what they've been through.

Acts of kindness performed every day
By modest people with little to say.
